Once paired to the iPhone, the iMuffs would pause my music and allow me to answer an incoming call etc. For more information on the features of iMuffs, jump to the product page.DESIGNiMuffs have a very sensible and practical design. While the design of iMuffs is not likely to find its way into the Apple design Zeitgeist, it serves the purpose to which it was intended. worked as labeled. As an Apple enthusiast, I tend to prefer a little more in terms of industrial design.
He could only manage 2 hours.MAKING A GOOD THING BETTER iMuffs by Wi-Gear have great functionality but suffer from a lack of comfort when worn for any length of time. Rating: Overall, this is a good product. I used iMuffs with a 3G iPod Nano, 2G iPod Touch, and an iPhone 3G. However, comfort is another issue altogether (more on this later).USABILITYI found iMuffs to perform all of the listed functions as advertised. With such features as: stereo bluetooth connectivity, controls for your iPhone/iPod, and a noise canceling microphone, iMuffs, on paper, seem to be ready for prime time.
When you place your fingers on the earpiece, you can feel the thinness of the cover. In the above picture of the earpiece, my fingers are actually pressing against the cover. As you can see, they are not depressing the cover. Sadly, the engineers, in my opinion, skimped on the padding which covers the earpieces. Once the included dongle was attached to the thirty pin connector, everything worked seamlessly. All of the controls (play/pause, next track etc). Nice feature to have sans cumbersome wire.
The newer bluetooth standard promises to solve some of the current limitations. iMuffs from Wi-Gear include a number of features to meet the ever growing wireless demands of the technology minded among the citizenry. This is due to the fact that there is very little material there, subsequently, I am pressing up against the hard plastic earpiece.Once one has worn a pair of iMuffs for a while (my limit was about 1.5 hours) the hard plastic begins to press against the ears. I let my son use the review unit to get a second opinion.
A slight redesign of the earpiece cover could rectify this deficiency and improve the overall usability of the product. MyMac[.]. Additionally, Wi-Gear definitely needs to redesign the earpiece covers from a comfort perspective.
In terms functionally, Wi-Gear has built in the required specs to deliver the promise of stereo bluetooth to the masses. That said, I am awarding this good product from Wi-Gear a 4 out of 5 on our MyMac[.]. As with the current state of stereo bluetooth, the audio quality is good but not great.
If you are an audiophile, iMuffs are not for you.Everything is great with iMuffs as long as you don't have to wear them very long. It performs as advertised. rating system.
had to return the headphone remote ( Imuff) with no problem. I would not work with IPOD Nano 3rd gen. works on others just not this generation. my return and refund was taken care of flawlessly.
The first pair of headphones that I received had a defect but a new pair was promptly sent. It took me a few weeks to get support to explain that if you hold down the volume button down the bluetooth connection to the iphone is re-established. Now that that issue is settled I have had no problems. They were slow at replying to questions about the product. Overall I am very pleased. Instructions on using the headphones were limited. The support from the manufacture is lacking. I was continually going through through the set up procedure to establish connection.
However, that all being said I am very satisfied with the audio quality. They link to a Ipod/iphone very well, however the bluetooth connection to the iphone is frequently lost. The microphone does pick up quite a bit of background noise but it is adequate. I ride my bike and rollerblade with them and go out in the boat and it is wonderful to be cord free.Razz
creo que la tecnologia es de lo mejor, lo he probado en campo aabierto y alcanza los 50 metros, es increible, tiene un excelente sonido, muy buena fidelidad excelente para los ipod y iphone lo recomiendo ampliamente
The headphones can charge via USB on a computer, or an included wall adapter that has a USB port in it. I haven't had a chance to connect my iMuffs to my computer yet, and use them in VoIP programs like Skype, but I'm looking into a USB bluetooth adapter right now, and I have high hopes for the iMuffs once I get them connected to my PC. :) The bluetooth range is actually much farther than the advertised 30 feet; I once tested its range at a bowling alley and I definitely reached a good 50 feet or more with a straight line of sight between the headphones and the adapter before they started losing their connection. The headphones connect with the adapter in about 3 to 5 seconds, and will instantly start playing when they connect, so make sure you're wearing the headphones when you turn them on. Wi-Gear's iMuffs are definitely a great pair of wireless headphones. Lastly, the buttons on the right headphone cup seem just a little flimsy, and rubber buttons would have been perfect for these headphones. If I'm listening to music and someone calls my phone, I only have to press the play button on the headphones to pick up and start talking. As for the built-in noise-cancelling mic, my mom couldn't even tell on the other end I was using the headphones instead of just the phone.
Occasionally my connection to my iPod cuts out when I have it in my pocket and the headhpones on my head, and when it resumes the pitch of the song increases by about half a note, possibly from inherently increasing the song speed when it reconnects, but returns to normal after about 5 seconds. Connecting to my bluetooth phone was flawless, and I can connect and disconnect from the iMuffs in mere seconds whenever I want. The drivers produce an ideal range in tone, and have surprisingly satisfactory bass support. I have to say that the iMuffs are definitely one of the best bluetooth sets I've seen as far as features and price (got 'em new for $120 instead of the MSRP of $180), but they are not without a few minor flaws. An ideal situation for constant users like me is to just charge them overnight when the battery gets low. My first call with the headphones, the audio was coming through loud and clear. Another issue is that when I have the headphones connected to both my iPod and my phone, I can't control the volume level of the music, probably because at the time the volume must be focusing on the phone instead of the iPod. But as I said, these are just minor issues, and they hardly detract from the value and quality of these great bluetooth headphones.
